Spring Espresso in York

Nice little coffee close to the museum park. The place is nice and clean but I didn't like the coffee. It quite too salt for me. But didn't try the rest so wouldn't discard going there see that the products looked delicious and the people where very nice.

Love this little coffee shop in the centre of York. I've visited both branches, and they serve amazing coffee as well as some great food. Was delighted with the vegan pistachio brownie, which had a right density and flavour combination. The flat white with coconut milk was also lovely, full of flavour and texture, and not coconut dominant.Appreciate that they don't offer WiFi as it is a small place, so you don't want to have people spend hours working on laptops. Highly recommend this to everyone.

One of the best breakfasts in York in this good little, central café. Delicious looking cakes too. I tried an almond croissant, they looked delicious, and it was. Vegetarians catered for. I had the yum vegetarian breakfast, after one with poor dead piggy was presented to me first in error.... Rectified quickly with apology. Only minor comment I'd say is my green tea was served in a handle-less ceramic beaker. I had to use a serviette to pick it up with, to save getting scalded. Not sure why, but this seemed to be the only one served this way, table next to me also had the heavy iron teapot but their cups had handles. A minor point, not worth losing any stars over as food was very good. Substantial brekky - shouldn't have ordered the croissant, ha ha! Vegetarian breakfast consisted of halloumi, Portobello mushroom, tomatoes, 2 eggs, and avocado on sourdough bread. A veritable plateful and all very tasty. Has some outdoor seating to the front on the pavement. Would recommend.

A great brunch spot! The best coffee so far in the UK, strong and hot rather than the usual tepid milky beverage we have been discovering on our travels here. The French toast with raspberry compote and sour cream was simply the best I’ve ever eaten. Not too sweet but fresh and satisfying. Well done team. I wish I could visit again but our train to Scotland is waiting.

If you want a really, REALLY good coffee in York, forget the high-street franchises and pay Spring Espresso a visit.It's a small shop, so internal seating is limited and there is some seating outside.There is a decent menu for breakfast and lunch, and a good selection of pastries (the salted caramel shortbread is wonderful).Looking forward to returning next time I'm in town.

Top quality coffee and good food. Service is pretty quick even during busy times. You can order with a QR code on your table too. Nice relaxed atmosphere inside. Went for lunch, but will have to come back to try some of their breakfast dishes next time!

Welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and tasty food — and very covid-safe, as we could order via the app and have our food delivered to our table. Felt somewhat expensive for what it is. It took a while to come, but the portion was generous and coffee was quite nice. I'd stop by again for a takeaway coffee.

Highly recommend! The pancakes are pure perfection!I visited 2 different spring espresso cafes in York and they were both great. Friendly stuff and accommodating, I asked for a change in my order and they were more than happy to adjust it.The pancakes were a massive portion and super yummy with a generous portion of maple syrup. I’m salivating thinking about them!The coffee was excellent!The brownie was delicious but a bit dry.Overall a great place- would definitely visit again!
