Stonegate Yard Bar & Brasserie in York

We actually came across this hidden gem by accident, tucked away down an entry but we spotted the twinkly lights and were drawn in!It was nice and warm and cosy and we just fancied a nice dessert. Enjoyed a fabulous brownie and waffle ice cream concoction that was just gorgeous and hubby had a chocolate orange cheesecake. The staff were really helpful and pleasant and we would definitely visit again next time we’re in York

Whenever I am in York (not often these days) I enjoy a drink at this place.Reasonably priced for York and it does have one of the best courtyards for drinking in (when the weather is better).They do food too but have yet to eat here! Never heard anyone complain though.A nice little spot for a drink.

Absolutely amazing. Fitted us in no problem last minute. Food was amazing good choice of menu and delicious too. Customer Service exceptional including return of a lost mobile phone by post. Would recommend this place highly. The use of the outside courtyard is exceptional. We'll dine team Stonegate 5 star plus in my opinion

Distinctly average. Not good, not bad. 2 of us went for lunch. I would have guessed it was decent ish microwave food . Won't be going again, which is a shame as it used to be very good .

Great place in the centre of town, nice atmosphere with Al fresco dining if the weather permits. Has great character, somewhere that little bit different to enjoy fab food and drink.

Burger & chips, burger was good, but then a piece of nasty plastic cheese was used, the bun was a little average..When it comes to service, there was a waitress wandering around with sandwiches asking every table if it belonged to them. Our service was good, except we ordered pints of beer but were served half pints. Our service was prompt, the waitress who served us was good & we left a small tip. It's was OK, it could have been a little more polished

As good as ever. First came here in 2012, and then regularly due to family connections until 2018. Really pleased to see on our return in late 21 that its still thriving. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and welcomes dogs in the (so cool, heated and covered!) Courtyard. The sharing antipasto board was huge for two, v tasty and gd value too.

Staff are obliging & very friendly. Could do with more choice on menu esp for vegetarian. I chose a starter with side order of fries ad there wasn't anything on main menu for me. Did enjoy the food.
