It has an amazing staff and the food is and smells incredible! Even though it is small, it is a cozy and comfortable area!

The best cafe in York. The coffee along with a toasted panini is delicious. It’s a must if you are visiting the city. The staff are welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond on my visit. I will most definitely be returning to try even more of the treats available. Amazing experience😋

It's safe to return!I used to come here all the time as it was a great place to sip good coffee and watch the world go by, but then the manager(?) changed and the atmosphere (and with it levels of friendliness!) changed drastically so I stopped coming. I walked by today and noticed that the staff were different so I chanced it and popped in - turns out there's a new team and a new manager and they're lovely.Smiles! Friendliness! Good coffee! Ladies and gents, it is officially safe to return to Cafe 42! 🎉

Called in a couple of days ago for a light lunch snack. Had the hummus and cheddar panini's, fabulous. Good mug of Yorkshire tea each and set up for the shops. Give it a try.

Great little coffee shop, amazing bacon barm the roll was crusty and bacon really tasty. Great spot to have breakfast with a nice calm atmosphere definitely reccomend

This is how nice the breakfasts are! Definitely recommend this little gem. Delicious porridge and hubby enjoyed his sausage in sourdough. With fresh coffee, a tenner for breakfast for 2. Very friendly too, we'll be back!

The coworking space at the back of this cafe makes a great change of scenery when I want a break from working from home. Really love the Cafe42 coffee blend, and wifi is super fast! Friendly staff and good service :)
