New to Acomb. I've tried 4 different Chinese takeaways before finding this one. Best one by a country mile. Staff were pleasant too

I live around the corner from this Chinese and order pretty frequently and the food is always very good.I've tried a few Chinese takeaways in York and most are pretty poor, this is literally the only one I enjoy eating.Its sometimes pretty busy, but to me that's the sign of a good place. Plus I like that they have a good enough reputation they do not need to sell on Just Eat.

Always good quality, well cooked. It's also true to the genre of 'fast' food.... Always cooked fresh and with the minimum delay. I can't recommend the Crispy Duck highly enough. Excellent!

Poor quality food, Special fried rice, was excellent first time I tried, went down hill on my next visits, Very poor quality rice, more pudding size, King prawns more like shrimps! Red coloured gristle, and white coloured Fat meant too be chicken, made me ill! BEWARE. A dog would not eat!

A little bit different, some great flavours, but still a satisfyingly typical Chinese takeaway.I have always rolled my eyes when reading reviews on takeaways that complain about the food being too greasy (it’s all fried - what do you expect?!) but actually I did find a couple of the dishes from here genuinely too greasy. I’d go again though.
