Always friendly staff, great choice of food. Value for money. Lovely place to chat, relax and have a coffee and cake, or more if thats what you want.

Similarly to other peoples experiences this place really isn’t child friendly. Have been turned away on multiple occasions by rude staff due to having a pushchair. Easily enough space and was happy to wait for more space. Just a flat no. Such a shame as we loved it here when my partner was pregnant.

*Edit* the owner swiftly dealt with this complaint.The manager made my friend cry mid-meal by complaining about her happy 6 month old baby. Whilst the cafe claims to be family friendly the mother of a happy babbling baby was told to stop her baby being so loud. As a group of 4 mums (who very rarely see each other) we promptly paid (full price) and went to the cafe opposite where we were welcomed. We were not even offered an apology. I am truly shocked and angry by how my friend and group were treated. Do not go to this cafe with children - you are not welcome.

Every visit, and it is often, as it’s a wonderful experience, warmly welcomed back with delicious food, attentive friendly staff and a fabulous atmosphere. Well done to all you’re a top team , thank you

Hollandaise was discusting and everything cold 7.95 for eggs Benny you should take note of the pig and pastry on bishopthorpe road cheaper and 10 times better hollandaise doesn't taste like packet in there oh yeah and over 4 quid for a over done bacon sandwich terrible hang you're heads in shame

Very popular place; Service was top tier. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Asked for something slightly off menu which was accommodated easily and served also very quickly. Food was delicious, coffee was just right. I can see why the locals love it.

Delicious food in a lovely environment. We were seated quickly and the service we received was friendly and attentive but not in your face. Tea was good although the tea for two could have done with being bigger.

Amazing coffee and brownie. Only slight disappointment is that the menu doesn’t say that the bacon is smoked (unfortunately I can’t eat smoked food) My own fault for not asking but might be something to consider making it known on the menu

Very upbeat and friendly staff. Brownies have been exceptional for every visit, and the locally roasted coffee is well worth going for.

So nice and tasty food. Nice atmosphere. Good trained staff. Very good cappuccino. Beef chilli chips and Chesar Salad so good.
