The Cut & Craft in York

Visited Cut and Craft on Monday after a quick Google search for "best steak house in york" and we weren't disappointed.The food was absolutely beautiful, the flat iron steak was good perfectly.Well presented food in a lovely venue.100% recommend a visit.

Visited today while in York with my sister. What a wonderfully pleasant suprise. Exceptional food. Excellent quality. Generous portions. Charming, helpful and friendly staff. It was so good that I'd visit York just to come back to this venue. Thumbs up. 👍. Cheers. James.

Absolutely the best food in the area. The service was top class the atmosphere was perfect and the food was to die for. This is the place I will return to when in York. Amazing ThanksPs Try the chicken wings and thank me later 😀

Beautiful surrounding and well cooked food! My husband had the 36oz Tomahawk Steak and I had the 14oz Ribeye. Both cooked medium rare. 🤤

Read some good reviews so booked a table and I wasn't disappointed. Glad I booked as it was very busy and this was a Monday evening. It had a good atmosphere and food was very tasty. I had their signature flat iron which was lovely.

The presentation of the place is great, the staff are friendly but my main issues are with the portion sizes. After my meal, I wasn't even half full which is disappointing for the price range. Despite this, it tasted great.

Great venue, buzzing vibe. Had a steak from another well known steak house and was not impressed, this was the best steak I had ever. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal and experience. I would definitely return.

This venue looks the part it's clean, modern and a bit industrial. The centre of the venue is a bar with a great set of stairs the lead up to the rest rooms. The food itself is great I enjoyed the garlic prawns, probably more I will be longing to have them again. I then went on to have the rib eye steak rare with the buttery mash and peppercorn sauce. This was cooked as requested and was good. Sadly this venue was let down by its service, the service was exactly that just service. There was no spark and people working to make their customers feel special. The service wasn't bad though just nothing to shout about. Otherwise great venue if not a little bit pricey. Would go again though.

Came here over Christmas on a recommendation of a friend, did not disappoint. Was a anniversary meal, and we where given a nice booth and a free glass of Prosecco which was a nice touch. Food was cooked wonderfully and the waiter was brilliant. Plus the stein glasses for £10 are great! Will recommend and if ever in York again will be back!

One of the best steakhouses my partner and I have been to. Modern but cosy, with great atmosphere, quick service and amazing food. Our waiter was genuinely very friendly and full of energy. Definitely added to the perfect experience. Sorry I didn't catch his name to give him a well deserved shout out. I'm not local but would definitely make a visit back to York just to go back to this restaurant. I definite recommendation!
