Okay fish and chips, rude staff who hardly can be bothered to look at you or serve you. Try blue fin on hull road as they are much better all round.

A little conflicted. I only live round the corner so maybe go once a week and generally it's pretty good.Today I went and got a medium chips, I got home to find there was maybe a total of 20 chips in the box.Normally the portion I get is easily triple the size of not more.Bit of a joke tbh. Consistency is key.

A local to the caravan club site and a proper chippy tea place with them making a decision to do a fish of the day. So cod one day, haddock, pollock or whatever fish is available. There seems to have been a concious decision to make the food affordable too, so portions are good and not ridiculously large. The mushy peas and curry sauce were good and complimented the main course. Opens at 4pm and fresh cooked fish during quieter times.

No scraps which are my favourite and didn't offer to make me any whilst cooking my battered jumbo like the previous cheeky fryer (Janet Street-Porter) who thinks I look like 72 year old Alan Titchmarsh. They don't do small portions of Peas nor Large Portions of Chips but always enjoy my meal from here. (Visited 3rd March 2022)

Great customer service. We had a mistake with our order and Daniel was was quick to apologize and quicker to sort it out. Very impressed with both the food and the service

Small battered sausage, medium chips and a can came to £5.13. Chips portion size seemed very small and they were luke warm. Food however was nice once warmed up a little in micro.

As a local resident, i am a regular and usually the food and service are both top notch. However, tonnight was a different story. The wait was long, not enough staff and both deliveroo and just eat come in every 5 mins and jump the queue ahead of customers in the shop. The card machine has been broken for weeks and customers are asked to go across the road to the cashpoint. Chips were luke warm and peas were stone cold.

Without any hint of exaggeration, I will state the Haddock and Chips I had from here were the best I have ever had. To the extent that we made sure to fit in a return visit during our recent stay in York.Everything was delicious, but the fish in particular was a stand out. I am drooling right now, just thinking about it. Delicious! The counter staff were very efficient and polite too.I don't suppose they deliver to Glasgow? :-P

Great fish and chips, friendly, busy service. Good packaging - the jumbo haddock was perfectly cooked and stayed crispy after a 10 minute walk home. Salt and pepper squid good too. "Chinese" curry sauce got too thick quite quickly while eating, but they do have two alternative curry sauce types which we'd try next time!

Fish was good, but chips were few in number, limp, greasy and frequently black. There must have been 3 tbsp of liquid grease in the bottom of the packet when we opened it up at home. Would seriously consider going elsewhere next time.
