The Good Food Shop in York

What a joy to live in walking distance to this deli! An absolute haven for foodies, with the most wonderful bread selection, sandwiches, salads, sausage rolls, cheeses and so much more. I have loved every single thing I've brought from them and only wish I could get lunch here every day!

Great service. Picked up some coffee beans and got some brill advice on what to pick and taste etc. Great experience.

This is my second visit to the Bishy Road area. First sandwich from the Pig and Pasty was excellent, today’s sandwich from the Good Food Shop was equally excellent, and just a little bit better!

Love it here! I come all the time as I live nearby. The salads are always fresh and lovely, and they have different lovely homemade soups every few days. Couldn't recommend it more highly

We ordered some Italian snacks for a corporate event and The Good Food Shop were more than happy to help us. They delivered these snacks to the venue for us, and were able to create these bags within a tight deadline. Really helpful staff and easy to contact.

Absolutely love this place. The sourdough is the best I've come across. The deli also has a lot of choice, I particularly love the vegetarian pâté they sell. Staff are all lovely and friendly.

I ordered a food hamper for my son's 40th birthday. Ruth at the Good Food Shop York was extremely friendly and helpful and made some good suggestions for what to include. A selection of delicious cheeses, pickles, olives, crackers and cured meat was nicely put together at a very reasonable price. My son was delighted. Thank you so much!

First time visiting this captivating Aladdin's cave. A marvelous little food emporium, proffering meats, cheeses, cakes, bread, all manner of delicious food stuffs. Huge range of products available, displayed on floor to ceiling shelving.Lovely airy, clean shop.Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff.The olives that I bought were lush, juicy and tasty as. The banana custard loaf was delicious. And am definitely going back for more of the yummy lentil and coconut paté.And it looks so inviting and quirky from the outside, so do go in! It is well worth a visit. Highly recommended. I didn't meet the owner on this occasion but spoke to her later on. I like all your ethos and thinking, Carol.
