Very cool vibe in this place. Really friendly staff and comfortable seating. The breakfast was fantastic and really filling. Great drink selection as well.

Great place to be, only things letting it down are the constant and substantial short measures on pints at busy times. As a cider drinker I find the selection of apple ciders soul destroying.

Seems to have become one of our must visit places on a night out in York. Usually live music with a decent mix of people attending who make a brilliant crowd to be amongst. Most welcoming. The establishment is a bit of a chameleon as it is a cafe by day and lively pub by night. Decent range of drinks on offer at competitive prices.

Fantastic live music. A pair of what looked like twins, superb musicians, created a really lively atmosphere inside this cosy bar.

I went on a Tuesday or Wednesday night when it was quiet, and we sat up on the rooftop/balcony area with a coffee on a cold January night. It was lovely, and the staff were nice (though they must have thought us odd ordering coffee at night). We also listened to the minster bells ringing for hours (they must have been practicing). I haven’t managed to go back, as it always seems so busy, but I do want to!

Fantastic atmosphere 👏. The band, a two piece, were brilliant and I have not seen a more brilliant singer improvising as well as he did. Well worth a visit.really friendly people.

A hidden little gem of the busy streets, definitely worth a visit for a rest and recharge

One of my favourite places for drinks. Lovely staff, cosy vibez, great beer selection, and wonderful view of the minster from the back porch.
