The Maple Leaf Cafe in York

Had a lovely brunch here on Sunday. They were very busy so the service was a little slow but we had a friendly welcome. All the food was excellent and delivered hot and tasty. Seeds on the eggs are a nice touch. The toilets were clean, right at the back of the restaurant. No masks in sight but anti bac gel on the tables. The golden latte was pretty but just tastes of warm coconut milk.

Beautiful place and lovely staff. We had burgers, they were ok, a bit pricey I thought for what they were. A service charge is added to the bill, while the service charge is optional, it was not mentioned at all or made obvious, just indicated on the menu in rather small prints.

Great place. Not an extensive menu, but it made it easier to choose 😊. The staff we're really polite & friendly, especially the young lad waiting our table, a future journalist. The food was fab, my husband said the vegan burger was amazing, and he's a picky sod that moans at everything! Let your kiddies try the flowerpot for dessert; they can eat the whole thing 😃. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent variety on the menu, delicious food and the staff were just superb. Magda our server was particularly good. Highly recommend this place. I got the garden breakfast and it was fab!

Lovely dining experience. Friendly staff who were attentive but didn't get in the way. A good selection on the dinner menu, catering for vegetarian and vegan diets. Good speed of service. Good drinks menu. Easy to book on line. Will definitely go again.

Great restaurant! Today, January 30, 2022, we were in a company of 4 people and everyone ordered different dishes. A rare case: in this restaurant we all liked all 4 dishes. We ordered the following dishes: steak with egg and chips, smoked salmon and shrimp pie with mashed potatoes and cheese, chicken skewers and a burger with chips. In my opinion everything was very tasty. I'm quite picky about the quality of food, but I take my hat off to this restaurant. I strongly recommend: go there to eat, you will not regret it. And I also want to say about the work of the staff: beyond praise! Everything was cooked in 15 minutes, different workers were interested in how we liked it, is everything in order with us? We enjoyed dining there very much. Recommend!

Was an amazing breakfast we had. Service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Great experience. Especially for me as a coeliac it's not always easy to find a nice glutenfree menu, but they smashed it! 😍

Went here for dinner with my best friend it was a return visit. As always I was not disapointed, the food was amazing & the setting & atmosphere was lovely. Staff were very friendly & very attentive. Can't recommend this place enough will definately be coming back again & again xx

Booked ahead, lots of people were turned away on the day. Took an hour before breakfast arrived, very busy, staff running around, finished food just in time for the 90 minute slot (during school half-term holiday). Venue was very nice, all very clean, food was just the right quantity and tasted good, nice to be offered water as well. Staff very good, especially Jessica. There is an optional suggested service charge of 12.5%. In all it was excellent, just the waiting time...

Very easy to find. I'd recommend you book first as it gets busy. Very comfortable restaurant with nice decor and lighting music at a sensible level. I came here two nights running and wasn't disappointed. The team were excellent very friendly and approachable. Great selection of food and drink. Great value for money. I must mention Alice really friendly and professional made me feel very welcome.
