The Minster Inn in York

Nice pub, good service and pleasant atmosphere but as for food, they only do pizzas so if you love pizza you'll be OK.

We came here because it was dog friendly and were made to feel very welcome! All the staff were very friendly, good service and tasty pizzas! Also doggy biscuits! Definitely recommend.

Great food & beer, both of which are great value. Really nice helpful staff, nothing is too much for them, nice atmosphere in the pub, cosy but not crowded, I would happily visit again and it really is a proverbial hidden gem.

Excellent service, great selection of GF food and drink. Loved it. Bit steep for a large red at over £8 a glass though. 😳 Otherwise prices were reasonable.

I love to find this kind of spots! We were looking for some pizza in dog friendly place, so after quick search we find this spot.We been so happy to go there today, staff been amazing, music & vibe been spot on, and pizza/drinks were exactly what we been looking for.I think if you tourist looking for a good value food and a quick pit stop in your travel! I think it is great place to add to your trip.Also, I wish to have such spot in my own town, because I would definitively hang out with my friends to chill, have a drink and probably order some chips and pizza later on.Oh! And fire place was just great surprise after rain/snow we experience during our York visit today. Our dog definitively enjoyed it the most (staff was also very kind to treat him with some treats).

What a fantastic pub! Popped here in mid week in December 2021, receiving a super warm welcome from staff. Location wise is slightly outside the York city walls, in a nice quiet street. Pub has an excellent selection of drinks with a number of different rooms and seating areas too. Well worth checking out during any trip to the wonderful city if York.

Absolutely exceptional! We had the Italian pizza and the loaded nachos, best I've had! Great bar options too, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Was the only place in town not ram packed and overbooked

Best pub in York, the selection of beers and spirits are extensive! The pizza is to die for and the best I've had in York! The staff are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledge of their selection! Has a real traditional aesthetic with a great homely atmosphere! Definitely recommend!

Travelled up from the South and 1st pub we came across was Minster Inn. The chap at front of house was very welcoming. Lovely pizza's and a great choice of drinks.

We received great table service on Saturday evening. The bar staff worked very hard to cover all tables. They were very efficient.Massive thanks to the young man who rescued my mobile from behind the bench.Lovely guy. So.sum up. A little gem of a pub with good food too.
