Very nice little pub, has a cosy feeling to it. Good cheap dreams.

This place has the best Wetherspoons Fish & Chips we have had , worth a visit but if you use Wetherspoons app make sure you get the right pub when in York.

Friendly staff and great value food and drinks. A huge bonus that the toilets aren't actually upstairs. Really pleased to see 'Ask for Angela' being advertised in the women's toilets.Will definitely go again.

Good sized spoons to start off a visit to York, right next to one of the most famous entrances (bars) into York Centre.Quick service, cheap food and drinks, and a very pleasant atmosphere, one of the best spoons I've visited in many a moon.Good if you're staying at a local hotel, or if you've just hopped off the train.

What a great place! I visited this place with friends for a meal last week. Went back the next night with my husband and Ben (who served us the previous night) remembered us and said how lovely it was to see us again. He works very hard to give the personal touch and deserves a bonus is some sort. The food was excellent; mixed grill for my husband and baked potato for me. I tasted Porter for the first time as my hubby had a pint with his meal and I had a sip. Lovely! I had tea with my food and enjoyed a free refill. The value for money is amazing, the food tasted really good and there is plenty of it, but the best bit is the atmosphere and the welcome. Thank you to Ben and the team. We will return on our next visit to York.

Good food at great prices, unbelievably cheap booze, nice staff. No complaints

Honestly can't fault a good Spoons. We are a few days holiday in York. We have had 3 spoons breakfasts all customised to our party's tastes and 2 great dinners including Christmas specials. Lovely friendly quick service. Hot tasty food. Great atmosphere. Well done!!!

Me and my son came in for a meal. It was very busy but we didn't have to long to wait. The food was very nice and the staff were friendly
