It is a very small place under a pub. The person there made it feel so much bigger with his explanations of what happened here during Roman times. It was obvious that he has a great passion for this era of York. We only went in because it wss raining but we came out with more knowledge about Roman Baths. Only small niggle was that we had to exit via an extremely busy pub. It would have been less risky, during the times of Covid, to retrace our steps and gone out via the way we came in.

A lovely cosy little pub with excellent beers and a warm friendly welcoming. The food was very good and my wife was drooling at the sight of the home made chips, I don't get the same thrill but they were tasty. In all a lovely experience and we will return on future visits

It was ok..... there was either too many in or it was empty, we asked about entertainment and we were told 'there is a band on but you won't get a seat' we were left feeling quite uncomfortable and unwelcome..... we left and went elsewhere, we could have stayed in seats but a group of 10 x 50+years olds was there loss.

Stopped in for lunch. Service was friendly, food came quick and was delicious. We had the steak pie with peas and fries. Id definitely eat here again and it was reasonably priced.

Tucked away beneath the pub of the same name is the remains of the roman baths, not a vast amount to see but the volunteers do a great job of giving you all the details of what there is to see.Free to visit although they wouldnt turn down a small donation.Best time to see is in the afternoon during the week- great because we had the whole place to ourselves and we could yake our time listening to the explanation of the ruins and excavations.

It was a great night in the Roman Bath on Saturday night I enjoyed the band echo aswell never seen that particular band before .Love this place when the bands are on it's a great atmosphere only wish there was more space to sit down.Well lit up outside the back and gas heaters was an added bonus. 5 stars from me Happy Days.

Decent enough room but whatever you do, don’t forget your earplugs. It’s EXTREMELY LOUD outside, with people screaming and shouting until the small hours and then bin collection, recycling collection, beer deliveries from 5am through to 8am. The noise seems to be amplified by the room with it sounding like the windows are wide open when they’re in fact closed. None of this is the fault of the pub (the windows probably can’t be modernised) but just be warned. All other aspects absolutely fine.

Even though the pub is in the city centre, it was fairly quiet when we visited, so was able to get a seat inside. Good selection of Ales, didn’t try the food, but what was brought out to other customers was well presented pub grub
