Tiger Inn in York

Visited here during a stay in the area. A very popular place to eat. Food was great value for money. Staff were very friendly.

Food was excellent and is everytime we go. Service was also excellent, would recommend to everyone.

Lovely food and pretty good value!

Visited at around 5pm on a Sunday so the car park was full with a few cars trying to get into spots as other cars left. I decided just to park on the road somewhere it looked that it would not be annoying for residents. We sat round the back where they have a row of booth seating for four which was nice. And on to the food...had the black pudding starter and the chicken parmo main. Both really nice with generous portions. Big thumbs up for the parmo... crispy buttermilk coating and a delicious bechemel on top. Was full enough to even leave a few of the chips behind. Fish and chips and steak pie were all enjoyed greatly by the rest of the party.

Busy place. Always a sign of good food. We had four different meals. All excellent. Friendly staff. Been there three times over the years. Always good. Wish I lived closer to it.

Top class pub food and generous portions as well. Good selection of real ales. I've been a couple of times now and will definitely go back when I'm next in the area. Not to be missed

Heard good things but very disappointed with our family meal. Food was slow to arrive, adults burger was nice but vegetarian roast was bland and our child's burger was cold and very under cooked. A replacement was provided to be fair but the whole experience was underwhelming.

Being gluten free can often be a nightmare in a pub but here it was so easy! An adequate choice on menu and even the biscuit with my delicious creme Bruce was gf. Can't wait to return.

So pleased to see it open. Favourites still on menu. Very busy but plenty of space. Might need mats on floor as winter approaches as laminate feels slippy.

Well what a recommendation by my mum. I normally take them with more than a pinch of salt. However on this occasion I was more than happy to have tried the tiger inn. The food was simply superb. I haven’t had calves liver cooked so well in years. Left me wanting more. Every course was delicious.The staff were also attentive in an unobtrusive way, making our lunch a great experience.For the quality of the food £14.99 for two courses was an absolute pleasure to pay.Thanks mum and to the tiger inn we will see you again very soon.Keep doing what you are doing!
