A good place for the authentic Indian cuisine. Tried the dishes (chicken and lamb) from chef special menu and both were really good. Very friendly staffs and all together nice ambience.

We are on holiday from London and wanted to eat some Indian authentic food. We decided to try York Tandoori. The take away service was excellent and quick. The staff so friendly. Food was fresh, tasty. Value for money. Next time we will eat in.

I think i must have been on an off night as the reviews are really good overall - so take this review with a pinch of salt. As someone who studied in India, i can say that the food was not authentic and was not even BIR (british indian restaurant). I know the chefs are most likely Bengali, so i expected some flair, but it seems to be over cooked mush, with fresh herbs on top. I had not been to this place for maybe 20 years, apart from once about 10 years ago - I stopped coming and now i remember why. Good luck with doing the place up as it looks like it's getting painted, but apart from this, it's how it was in the early 90's.

Great food and service, both main and starters were excellent. Would highly recommend. Restaurant is a BYO but this wasn’t any issues for them.

Super delicious food!! I majored in oriental studies, and spent a lot of time in Asia,so i know what i am talking about😀 gorgeous saucy fragrant dishes, and the restaurant also has a cute kids menu which our 1.4 year old enjoyed greatly! The staff are also very nice and helpful.
