I cannot recommend Zizzi’s York enough, the food is out of this world, cooked to perfection. The staff are welcoming and friendly, what more could you want.

Five us dined at Zizi's on a busy Saturday, but the starters and main courses came out quickly. I enjoyed the prawn and salmon hanging kebab - very theatrical and the others enjoyed their meals. I liked that there was an open kitchen. We had a 12 year old with us, who didn't like mushrooms, so they offered to remove them from the pizza he wanted. One of our guests has a nut allergy, so the waiter took great care to cater for his needs and gave him a menu which listed any allergens in the ingredients. All in all, it was a great visit. It wasn't cheap, however, we did have a bottle of wine, beers and various soft drinks. If you are in York, this is a good choice but looking at how busy it was on a Saturday, you would be wise to book. The menu had something for everyone.

We tried to eat here on the Friday evening of our stay, the Manager was very apologetic that they were full but recommended another restaurant close by, so we decided to book for the Saturday. My partner is celiac and when we told the waiting staff this they were brilliant, the manager dealt with us personally as his wife is celiac and my partner was put at complete ease, the food was superb as were all the staff, we had a wonderful experience which I could recommend to anyone

Disappointing food, at no fault of this outlet in particular. The menu doesn’t work, especially the giant s’more’s fondue sharer. The lasagne, is 6/10 at best. And the cost?! It’s mental. Shame.

The evening started off okay with very polite staff, however the food itself leaves a lot to be desired. The starters took an hour to arrive despite there only being 8 tables in the restaurant. As others have said, lots of delivery drivers coming and going which I imagine adds considerably to the length of time you wait. We had the meatballs and King prawn skewers as starters. The king prawns were cold and the meatballs, although hot, could only be described as being a confusing collection of flavours. For mains it was the beef short rib (pictured) - swimming in oil and not very much meat to be eaten. My main was the rigatoni pesto rosso which seemed rather lacking in the main ingredient of chicken. Overall the ambience was not very pleasant and despite it being a Saturday only downstairs was being used, causing customers to have to wait before being seated. I stopped going to Zizzis a few years ago and this experience has reminded me of why!

We came here tonight and weren't disappointed. We were seated straight away (and we were sent away from 2 different restaurants prior who where full). The food arrived quickly and the contactless ordering worked great. The atmosphere was good and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the still lemonade and the salted caramel chocolate brownie 👍

The York zizzis was clean and smart. On 2 floors. Downstairs has a disabled toilet. Upstairs appears to be for large groups.Ate in and discovered the meal of the House. Yum! The food was plentiful and hot and the garlic bread was to die for.Good value for the price paid. Will certainly visit again.

Booked a table for lunch, Katie and the team where amazing, especially with our toddler. It's hard sometimes going for a meal with kids in York, but Zizzi was great and we'll definitely be back!

Great place to eat with amazing staff! Me and my partner came here to grab some food while we were on our honey moon in York and the staff were so great. Our waiter was amazing he was chatting to us all about our wedding, gave us a great recommendation on food and sorted us out with some drinks! Great start to our day.

pizza was really tasty of course, portion size was huuuge so we got some takeaway boxes for it 😂 staff were really friendly and we ordered off the app so there was no confusion with the order. we all had mocktails and they were were super nice, i would assume the same goes for the cocktails :) didn’t make a reservation but we saw loads of people get turned away because they didn’t have a reservation after we sat down 😳 so booking is probably a good idea.
