The place is very nice and also the staff we went for Sunday lunch but the food was just warm but we ate it but told the waitress when she asked us how we enjoyed our meals she just said she would inform the kitchen

I've been a few times now. It's a really nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Portions do come out on the small side, but all taste really excellent and presented nicely. Not badly priced. Always busy, so best to book in advance. Overall a nice pub and food for a relaxed meal out with family or friends

Excellent food, despite being busy the wait was not too long, food was on point. Must say staff are always amazing and make you feel welcome

Really friendly staff, even though short staffed and busy, still had time for you.The food was served hot and was fantastic.Toilets were spotless and you could see that they were clean regularly.Lovely hidden gem that is well worth a visit. A*****

Was suppossed to be our Christmas dinner. Not very good service. Food was just ok. The christmas crackers must have been the cheapest possible to buy.Drinks were very expensive.Nothing gave the impression it was a Christmas dinner apart from the cheap crackers on the table.

I love this place. Staff are very helpful and friendly, good service. Menu is not the biggest but still a varied choice of food dishes and are reasonably priced. I have been a few times and tried different dishes, my experiences have all been good, great tasting food

Place pretty nice and war, staff welcoming, but... I do not know how the people in a kitchen got their places... 2 times In a row, both times failed. Is it that difficult to make properly steak? First of all, asked medium - got rare medium... second time - from medium, got properly rare. worst steak house ever, probably, I have ever been. cheers.!🤙✌️

Sunday lunch with friends and family as it was a table of 8, we really enjoyed ourselves. Sunday dinner was absolutely fabulous definitely recommend the roast trio as most of our party had this and it was absolutely fabulous and delicious, and it was even better with a great pint of pedigree. When we arrived it was busy and the staff were doing a great job very friendly and attentive, We will definitely be back.

Called in here to see what the food was like. So first impression. Greeted by a manager in a t-shirt (wasn't sure at first if this was a manager seeing as the place had just had a really good revamp 3 years ago). The environment was clean and tidy, tables laid professionally. At this point I had high expectations. We ordered just one starter from the menu which was the Wild Tempura prawn served on a prawn cracker. This (sadly) was the highlight. The batter was perfect, the taste phenomenal and textures were as expected. The main course was a sirloin for the wife and a slow cooked pork belly for myself. My black pudding mash was delicious, the greens were slightly over, the jus was a great accompaniment for the meal. The pork however came with no crackling (but was specified on menu), which meant just a fatty layer on top of moist meat and dry meat underneath. This says to me that the pork was cooked slow from being stored below temp previously, the fat layer not removed (which could have been done easily as I did at table) and then blasted on high heat or pan fried to create a good crackle. The steak was a poor cut, the meat was full of gristle as there was a high content of elastin which does not ever render properly, no matter how low/slow you cook it. In this case I would suggest a new meat supplier. When the manager came to ask my wife (I was indesposed) she mentioned the gristle and the response she received was "no worries". He took the plate and walked off into the abyss. We did find that £20 was comped when our service provider came with the bill. This place has high end decor and is good value for drinks. Sadly other than the amazing starter the food was lacking. A uniformed professional looking staff would also be of benefit. A more professional and customer focused attitude is also something to be worked on.
