Cafe Masala in St Albans

We had a mixed group of two ladies and three gents we had to wait ages for our food had to ask for plates as we had none also had no knives and forks when our starters arrived which were samosas they were still frozen inside we returned them and. Eventually had new ones when our main courses arrived which was a whole tandoori chicken it was stone cold the waiter asked what we wanted him to do about it which by this time after being there in excess of one and a half hours we said to forget it as two bad courses was just to much the bill arrived and items on the bill which we had not even ordered the bill then came back with reduced costs but with all the cold and returned food on it even after the waiter saying it would be taken off we queried it and the waiter became very rude telling us to F off then the some of the kitchen staff came out with other waiters having to restrain them we paid for what we had but would never return possibly the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been too

Delicious meal and great service. Naga Tandoori Chicken is one of the tastiest curry dishes I’ve had.

Incredible restaurant! Such lovely service Sam was lovely as well as the waiter. We where walking around for ages and came across this place. They had a generous Tuesday night deal on so we got to try lots of yummy foods. Would highly recommend to any Indian food lovers! Will defiantly be returning in the furture

One of our local restaurants that we get to pick up regularly. We had a meal at the restaurant and it was a lovely experience, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was tasty and good portions. Always an amazing meal from here, whether you’re eating in or taking it home.

Cafe masala is very nice restaurant in the Richmond. The food was excellent ,My all time favourite starter is tandoori king prawn, chicken tikka. I recommend must try this restaurant and the staff were very perspective. We will definitely be visiting again.

We were disappointed to realise that we were given a menu that was significantly more expensive than the usual menu. One curry was £18 for example, just for the dish without rice. Most curry dishes on the menu were £15 (just for the curry without rice), but this isn't what is listed on the website, or what we have paid when we have been previously. It is extortionate to pay £15. We felt ripped off. The food was OK, but not amazing. We are unsure why we weren't given the standard menu with the usual prices? We were also initially overcharged for poppadoms. And we were given 10% off at this point, but it still didn't bring prices back down to normal, and it doesn't explain the extortionate menu we were given. We felt ripped off. Very expensive meal.

Very good advice and service from the tram and wonderful ingredients well prepared.Excellent choice of fiery hotness and mild spiciness across the dishes we tried and the naans had a dress, light texture.Loved it and would recommend!

We popped in for a quick dinner two week ago and were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, excellent value and tasty food. We will be back!

I went to Cafe Masala yesterday with my family to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, great service, the staff are very nice and friendly and very good prices. Will definitely go back.

We love this place. Amazing food cooked fresh. Every dish is full of delicious flavors. We been using Cafe Masala for over 15 years now and never been disappointed. Highly recommend Cafe Masala.
