Very nice Indian restaurant and Their cuisines are delicious

This is used to be the place for consistency and I feel all that has changed recently, where the food and quality of service has diminished. From top quality to mediocre, which now gives me the overall impression that the care and soul that I once remember we’re put into the foods has now faded and what a shame! Fortunately so there are other the restaurants nearby.

This evening I had a very bad experience with the Chilli Raj. My partner and I usually order from here very often and it's always been a positive experience the food has always been great! Unfortunately this evening my usual prawn patia was awful the prawns were barely cooked and it had a completely different taste and smell to it, we called chilli raj to rectify this which they delivered another prawn patia but it turned up exactly the same uncooked prawns and tasting and smelly horrific.

Always love eating here as the food is amazing and the level of service that I receive here is of high standard. The staff are very kind and always make sure that customers leave happy.Definitely recommend this place to those who love eating curries.Best curry house in St.Albans!I will definitely be back soon with a couple of my friends.

Eaten at the restaurant for many years and have found no fault with them. The food is outstanding, staff are highly experienced and very professional. I recommend Chilli Raj to anyone visiting St Albans, by far they are the best restaurant I have been to throughout the whole of St Albans.

Excellent curries for four people on a quiet Wednesday evening, We had with us a 5-week baby and the staff could not have been more helpful in providing extra space and facilities, and service was otherwise first-class. It all contributed to a very enjoyable evening.

Love ordering my curries from here. The food is always 10/10 especially the Garlic Chilli Chicken. I recommend Chilli Raj to anyone looking for good Indian food.

Food arrived quickly and everything we had was lovely. The Onion Bajis were large and crispy not soggy at all like some. Mains were Chicken Sashlik and King Pawn Masala both were great, fresh, and well cooked. Good value for money too. Would definitely order again and can highly recommend.

First ever visit just a few weeks ago on a Saturday night, easy to book a table, (worth doing as the place was full!). Good selection of dishes on the menu , staff were very attentive and friendly. Food arrived in good time, was hot, in plentiful portions and was very tasty ... and all at a very reasonable price. Hailing from the 'home of the balti', this is high praise indeed!! as I tend to be quite picky when partaking of Indian cuisine outside of Birmingham! However, I must say I was very impressed with the Chilli Raj, and will definitely be re-visiting.. Highly recommended ..
