Service very slow. Sat at table for 45 mins before we managed to get the attention of a waiter/waitress. Food is good, lots of choice but not great attention/service.

My first visit and the staff at the restaurant were very welcoming and it was a pleasurable evening. I have only given 4 stars because the temperature of the food wasn't hot enough for me, but I will definitely go again and I encourage other diners to eat there as they have a substantial menu to choose from.

Had a great experience on a Tuesday evening. Food was delicious, very good service. Staff were so welcoming and accommodating. Would go back!

Thai restaurant, part of a small chain of Thai restaurants in London and Windsor. Situated in St Alban's town centre in a period building. Ambience is amazing. Service was good, but food average and rather oily. A couple of mistakes with our order ( we had asked for no ice in our drinks and less spicy for one of the dishes we ordered, but neither was done). We ordered chicken pad Thai green vegetable curry, jasmine rice, thai square noodles, tofu ginger stir fry along with papaya salad. Parking is difficult.I would not go back

Food was fantastic. However we felt it was overpriced. The veggie starters for 2 for instance, was £17 and definitely very small to justify the price of the dish. I can't fault the taste or service, it was fantastic. I would go here again and would recommend to others but expect to spend money.1 x sharing veggie starter2 veg curries2 rice4 cocktails1 dessertApprox £100 dinner for 2.

Calamari was tender, duck was nice and the Thai red curry had a nice balance and was not too rich.Overall great food, nice atmosphere and good service.

My food was great I had grilled pork and it came out with vegetables was cooked perfectly. I also had broccoli which again was delicious and the sauce it was it went well with the rice and pork. My Mrs ordered tofu stir fry but even I as an avid meat eater was shocked at how little tofu was in it. The vegetables that were in the dish were cooked well and had a nice kick. I'd definitely go again but not sure the other half would as the service was also a bit slow. The food for me was a 4 / 4.5 but on based on the whole experience unfortunately it has to be a 3.

Great location, staff very friendly and the food was just superb. I highly recommend the drunken duck. Plus cocktails are good too! Will go back, 120%

Some parts of this imposing Grade II* Listed Building date back to circa 1400 - so although it’s sad that it’s no longer the Tudor Tavern, I’m guessing that they simply couldn’t afford the upkeep. The current owners clearly can - goodness knows how much the refit cost but it was beautifully done.Although it’s a chain, Thai Square serves good quality food and the ambiance and service is lovely. Not quite as authentic as Thailand, and considerably more expensive - but I think it’s better than its two Thai neighbouring restaurants.

The food here is really good and reasonably priced. I would be a little wary of the spice warnings as my medium spiced dish was really spicy. This isn’t a Nando’s spice scale! The building and atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful as well with beams and a candlelit interior. Lovely date night location.
