Chaska Taste of India in East Lothian

New to Edinburgh (on holiday) we Googled all local Asian restaurants and decided, on reviews, to go here. We were met by friendly staff and given a wide raging menu. There were not many covers and very intimate atmosphere. We had the full three courses of poppadoms starters and mains. Each course was excellent in its own right. The staff were attentive but not pushy. The overall cost was extremely reasonable.We cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.

Took my sister there for her birthday along with my partner and 2 nephews. Food was absolutely outstanding, service impeccable and they came along with a free amazing chocolate cake when they learned it was my sisters birthday. I've tried a lot of Indian restaurants in Edinburgh and this ranks up their with the best. Definitely be back again

Stumbled across this place by going off Google Reviews and we were not disappointed. Fantastic service and absolutely amazing food. Would definitely recommend. Thank you. 👍

Staying at a hotel nearby and wanted some nice food last minute so checked Google and saw some good reviews with photos.2 starter, 2 main ,1 side and 5 drinks for £70. Would have happily paid much more for how nice the food was. Loads of chicken in the tikka shashlik, veg pakora I never knew could taste so good and tikka monkfish was awesome. Bombay aloo was so flavoursome.

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and it was utterly outstanding. Couldn’t wait to go back with my wife. Sadly the outstanding features - dramatic presentation and humongous portions - were no longer in evidence. Not much difference between the two curries we ordered.

This has to be the best Indian I have ever had in the whole 38years I've stepped foot on this earth. The food is next level not a trace of oil or fat anywhere in the food. We are only in Edinburgh for another few days but we will definitely be calling in here again.

Just down the road from kings theatre, this made a great place for dinner after seeing Cinderella.Really nice restaurant, food is excellent, great cocktail list.

My husband and I ate here last night and every dish was gorgeous. The manager helped me chose something different for a change and he chose very well for me. We both wished we had eaten nothing all day so we could have enjoyed more. The quality was one of the best I have ever tasted in an Indian Restaurant. We had a lovely night so have re-booked with friends later in the month and also in December. Thank you.

Google review said 4.9, I rang them.up and said look your in the middle of the tourists area, I don't want no sainsbury or tesco spices, taste, they said come and try, I tried, I gave them 5 star, food was authentic, hospitality at its best. I will be back.

First time in Edinburgh and we choose to go to this place. The best Indian we have had. The food was amazing the service was amazing. If I could put 10 stars for this review I would! If we come back to Edinburgh we will definitely go again!
