The Curry Leaf in Edinburgh

Lovely dinner - samosas, lamb pathia, lamb Katu masala. Chapati and pilau rice. Delicious!

Oh dear me, I have lived in Edinburgh city centre for over 30 years and this hands down is the worst Indian I have ever had. The Aubergine Mushroom Jalfrezi was absolutely tasteless and had the consistency of a very thin soup. The Mushroom Bhaji seems to have had a massive amount of spices dumped in that I could not eat it and I love the hottest curry. They even managed to burn one side of the Garlic Naan. All I could eat was the fried rice and all this for over £17. Will never order again from here, dreadful. Waiting times were over an hour.

The worst experience ever, the manager is simply rude, no manners at all, I was waiting for my food over an hour and when I’ve phone the restaurant he’s spoke to me with horrible attitude. My order has been cancelled without my permission!!!!!

Wouldn't recommend. Garlic nan was like a soggy biscuit, salmon curry, tasted like chicken so I presume it was cooked in chicken sauce, the mushroom curry side was horrid, which psychopath cuts mushrooms in half and adds it in to a curry? All the other restaurants don't leave it looking like half a hammer and lastly the delivery time was well over 45mins late. Avoid at all costs

Disgusting!! I make better curry’s!! Chicken Jalfrezi tasteless??? No flavour at all just don’t understand how they could charge for that! Learn to make a base gravy!!! Had chicken korma that blows your head off!! Unbelievable go elsewhere this place is terrible!!!

Horrible Not even close to authentic Indian food. It was so bad that I couldn't tell how many ingredients are misplaced and added in unbalanced quantities.

The food was fresh, portions were good, delivery was swift and we both found our dinner delicious. No complaints and with 20% off if using the website it was a bargain to boot. I will Definitely use this restaurant again.

Looked forward to the food as the restaurant had over 2000 reviews on Just Eat averaging over 5 out of 6 stars. Food took 1hr 20 mins to be delivered even though we live 11mins away. Food was bland. Aubergine still had a sticker on it, makes you wonder what the hygiene is like in the kitchen. Not ordering from this restaurant again.

I have been ordering food here since a year ago and the food is always fantastic. Honestly, I don't understand how people can have had bad experiences ordering food from here . The dishes are also very well sized and we can eat two people just ordering one dish.
