C&R Cafe in City of London

One of our favourite eating places in London where we can have authentic Malaysian dishes. Love their Nasi Lemak, Asam laksa and chicken satay 😋 They even sell frozen MSW durians which we have bought to try!

My go to Malaysian restaurant since 2009. Big portions and sightly reasonable prices. Smack in the middle of China Town. If you're missing Malaysian food, this is one of the few ones to go to in central London.

Yummy authentic food at fair prices... And no Service Charge!!! Amazing stuff. Price on the menu is what they actually charge you. Wat Tan Ho was delicious on a cold day, Hainanese Chicken Rice was good but not the best we've had, however carrot cake was amazzzzing. Waitress was super friendly on the top floor.

This C&R Malaysian restaurant has to be one of the top restaurants in London. It was a pity that I couldn't visit for over 2 years due to lockdown.. It was delicious to visit again today..

Great Authentic Malaysian cuisine with big portion is very nice and yummy. I definitely will be back as there is huge selection from the menu.

Great little Malaysian cafe tucked away down one of the side streets in Chinatown. Great prices and delicious food. Service very quick.

Used to go to C&R Café regularly before COVID. Having returned for the very first time after 2 years, the food is still consistent and a great variety to choose from!

Very disappointed with the food on this visit as we had high expectations set from recommendations from other Malaysians.The Roti was greasy, dense and the curry was not typical of one that would be served in Malaysia with a Roti.The Lobak was fine, nothing special.The Char koay teow tasted fine and was the highlight of the meal.The Hokkien Char was ok, the flavours were correct but was missing the Wok Hei.The Mee Goragng Mamak was just dreadful, they seriously used dried instant noodles as the noodle for this dish as opposed to yellow noodles. The sauce used to fry was completely wrong, it was all tomato. Also missing the Wok Hei.On the plus side the staff were great, very friendly and efficient. Overall wont be going back as it just wasn't good.

Massive portion but still very tasty! 👍👍 Always crowded and they don’t take reservation unfortunately…. But it’s worth waiting in a queue if it’s not too bad! Will come back again😋

Knowing the food of Malaysia & Singapore well, this stuff is legit. It has been my fix since I have not been able to get over there because of the pandemic.The setup is pretty close to the hawker centres you find over in Malaysia. It is simple but friendly with the focus on the food.The food quality is good, with the expectation of one visit it has been on point. Even then it wasn’t that bad. I can tell that the kitchen is genuine and not accommodating for western palettes.The prices are good especially when you consider the location of the cafe.I am a regular 👌🏼
