Ishtar in City of London

My family’s happy place!Ishtar is one of our favourite restaurants in London. I always feel as If I am sitting comfortably in my own kitchen, being given great service.We tried almost everything from the menu, and all was perfect, very delicious. This restaurant is getting 5 of 5 every time we come here. Every staff member was courteous and helpful.

Came here for my friend's birthday celebrations and it was a great overall dining experience, from the endearing customer service to the flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, you simply cannot go wrong with Ishtar.I tried the Lamb shank with bulgar rice and roasted vegetables. On the menu the lamb shank is served with mashed potato but they were easy in adjusting the side option to my liking. All elements of the meal were excellently prepared, both flavour and aesthetic wise. Lamb shank was more than filling, bulgar rice was the right amount and the vegetables were a nice variety and also roasted to perfection.Thank you for the great service, Ishtar. Everything was very good in this restaurant that we went to upon the invitation of my friend. Although it was very crowded, we had a great day. food and service quality are very successful. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly, every time they checked if we need anything, they really made us comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Definitely coming back.

Top local Turkish, went with work lot and wasn't disappointed! Good clean decor, very attentive staff. Quality food, Colleagues loved it so much we did our Christmas Dinner here :)

I've been to ishar a few times and it's always a great experience. Booked Thursday evening dinner, downstairs section. There was live music from around 7pm, a band, dancing, a male belly dancer - which was the most fun I've had seeing a belly dancer!!! Great vibe!! The food was delicious - had some shared starts - hummus, tabuleh salad, aubergine pate, calamari was amazing, and the mince parcels amazing. Mains we had mixed grill, chicken, the lamb shank was very tasty - amazing flavours and tender meat! I was too full for dessert but I have had the kunafe in. The past as it was prob the best I've tasted in London, and the baked rice pudding was delicious. Great for group bookings/events downstairs, upstairs more chilled and relax vibe.The forks are a little narrow - I found them difficult to use.Food is halal.

Lovely staff, great service, best Turkish restaurant that I’ve ever been. I can’t recommend their kunefe enough. Definitely will be coming back this week.

Fantastic service and the food was absolutely delicious. From start to end the team at Ishtar managed our big group very well. All the dishes were a delight and it’s definitely a place I will be returning too.

This place is by far the best Turkish restaurant I've been to. Food was absolutely delicious, meat was so tender and tasty..and kenafe was to die for. All that topped with excellent service and atmosphere. Will be back again for sure..had an amazing time.

This place was such a surprise!Food is amazing, we had a few starters to share, mains and desserts. Everything was so delicious and we left the restaurant full and happy.The service is great, Monika helped us choosing the dessert and she literally made our day.The atmosphere is very warm and I personally loved the music, acoustic piano versions of famous songs. I forgot to ask them the name of this album, next time I'll definitely do!
