Essenza in Kensington and Chelsea

Excellent food! Must try the scamorza for a starter. The Sea Bass is incredible- my favourite dish.

Beautiful food with amazing flavors. Good size portions. Nice and calm restaurant just away off from the main hustle. Polite and attentive service. Will be going back

The food is standard Roman/Italian fare but very well cooked and carefully prepared. I had delicious minestrone and a very good vitello Milanese with rucola and pomodorini. The zucchini frutti were delicious and lightly battered. The tiramisu was spectacular. Very decent red table wine. Service was attentive and friendly with this witty touch which made my Roman girlfriend feel at home!

I’ve been to Essenza many times and always enjoyed it, last night it was one of worst meals I’ve ever had. The service was shocking. When I said the bread was stale, the waiter said that’s all they had. They were more interested in doing their Deliveroo bags than serving customers. A truly sad decline of what had been a decent Italian restaurant. Never going back and would highly recommend avoiding it at all costs.

I mean where do we start. We were heading out and needed a bite to eat before we met up with everyone. Found this and thought it had a buzzy atmosphere from outside.We did managed to get seated quickly. Yet all down hill from here. They completely failed to even take a drinks order, calamari was more rubbery that Lyndas orange dress from gimme gimme gimme and the chicken Milanese belonged on the Facebook page “rate my plate”.The “food” and eventually the drinks were dumped on the table with no care at all. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there.Weirdly we ended finding the whole experience so awful we just saw the funny side of it. But certainly a waste of £82

Yasir and I deliveroo every weekend on a Saturday and sometimes on Sunday too!! It's our absolute favourite Italian without a doubt. Sometimes the sauce differs but this is good as we know it is homemade! King praws are so delicious - are they from Notting Hill Fish shop? Can't wait to share this place with my family next month in-person.

The other day I had the most flavourless carbonara I have ever had. I ordered one 3 weeks ago and wasn’t what I got in my last order. Not worth my money and will never order back here in uber eats or deliveroo.

Good Italian restaurant although they don't do pizzas. But pasta was nice. Mine (the one with the seafood) was a bit "dry" but the rest were tasty. Prices are ok and the staff is friendly.

We traveled from Canada and have never tasted Italian food this good. The staff are very welcoming including Stefano who took time from his busy kitchen to say hello. The atmosphere is part of the overall great experience. You got to eat here! Recommend reservations as it books up quickly.

Very nostalgic and home style to me. It was quiet during lunch, everything was at relaxed pace. Staff was very friendly. And I was very happy with my plate that came with generous beans and salad.
