Very disappointing. Very poor service. My first choice on the menu was ‘sold out’ although the restaurant was empty. Mediocre spring rolls. Nice curry but Steamed rice was cold and stodgy and we were expected to eat off cold plates. A member of staff started mopping the floor and staircase while we were eating and filled the restaurant with a smell of disinfectant.Overpriced and we requested the £9.70 service charge be removed from the bill. It seemed to be the sort of place which is more interested in its takeaway service than its in house customers.

I popped in last Sunday - great tasting food and responsive service from the waiter who also happens to be the owner!Beef Massaman curry was delicious, as was the Satay.I'll be back next week!

Very delicious food I enjoyed every bite of everything I had. The portion is too small if I didn't have generous serving of starter I don't think I would have been full with the main course.

I've bumped into this restaurant by mistake and decided to give it a try. That was the right choice. The only ไทย restaurant in London with the authentic taste of Thailand in every dish. This is not a place where dishes are revised to accommodate western preferences and I truly appreciate that. Prices are fair for the location. Will definitely go again.

Popped in to this hidden Thai Resturant in the basement. Order several dishes along a starter selection and crispy chicken. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. The best dish was the crisp chicken. It was nice and crispy, chicken stay was very tender. Overall great experience. 😋

As a big fan of Thai food, this place pleasantly surprised me. The restaurant is hard to spot on High street Kensington, but if you go inside the food would definitely worth make it a visit. Great food, decent price, friendly staff and cozy vibes.

Should have gone with my instincts on this and left instead of waiting for someone to come and seat me. However, after a few minutes a guy came out the kitchen and took me to a table. Only 3 others in use. Maybe one guy in the kitchen. Totally underwhelmed with my pork dumpling starter, not particularly flavoursome and whilst the centre was quite warm, the outside was not. Enjoyed the main course, and was thinking dessert but again waiting, this time for my place to be cleared, I decided against it. Quite bemused by the continuous procession of helmeted delivery riders. And therein lies the problem maybe. I felt more like a squatter in a takeaway rather than a diner. First time, last time. Disappointed.

Had a lovely time and the ambiance is super cozy and posh. We planned to eat at romulo cafe but they cannot accommodate us and looked for a different restaurant instead and found this Papaya tree. The owner is very kind and recommended their nicest dish. Absolutely fantastic. The desserts were absolutely amazing. We had the chunky crispy bananas in honey and honeycomb vanilla italian ice cream and roti wedges which is crispy pancake in condensed milk paired with matcha ice cream that cleanses your palate. 😘Value for money: 5 starsWaiting time: none except when we ordered the desserts which took 10 to 15 mins before they served it but the waiting game is all worth it. 👌So much better than the thai resto down in Southampton.

Hi guys went to Papaya Tree yesterday and was not happy!! I had been there before with husband and as you can see from pictures looked lovely.Taste wise the sweet and sour chicken was more sour than sweet. I tried it, it was sickly sweet. The Thai green curry was ok but chicken was obviously boiled before and had no taste. (I know as I have orked in a Chinese restaurant before, so know the in's and outs). We ate what we could, only the sauce and some of the vegetable was palatable. But when dipping into the Thai green curry I noticed that I ask for beef and not chicken. No apology was made or offer to take and change. But woman agreed that 100 per cent I ordered beef (so where was my beef???). When I asked for bill was still charged 12.5 per cent service charge.I did not argue as really wanted to leave restaurant by this time. On a good note restaurant clean, friendly staff, but don't order beef as you may get chicken. One thing I do know that they have lost 2 customers and will not be going back!! Try at your will (maybe off day for them but will not take that chance again at 12.5 service charge and food not up to presentation.

Despite the negative reviews, I feel that it is my obligation as someone who is aquainted with Asian cuisine to defend this place for serving some of the most authentic Thai flavours within this neighbourhood. Haven't ordered takeaway so I can't say for that part but eating in was a delightful and delicious experience. Portions are reasonable ...
