Mumbai Delight in Lambeth

I don’t often give a one star review, but please don’t trust the good ratings. Ordered this for delivery based mostly on the good reviews. Expensive for what it is. It’s below average even for inauthentic British Indian cuisine. Makhani was on par with a cheap Tesco ready meal masala, but for 13 quid. Chicken was dry and unseasoned. Stated as tandoori chicken. Looked and tasted like boiled chicken. Curries themselves absolutely bland. There are miles better value places in the area. Dhaba Indian Street Food is a similar price and an order of magnitude better tasting.

Great authentic and tasteful Indian food. Definitely a place to come back :))Second experience was not so good… there was a large party and constant pickup/delivery and all tables were waiting forever. After 60 min seated all we were able to eat were 2 papadadum…

Excellent food. We’ve been here several times, plus had takeaway as well & it is always delicious. Friendly staff, attentive and a nice atmosphere for dining in. Highly recommend!

Amazing! Truly amazing! I've never had such a great Indian takeaway in my life here in London. It came with so much food - it was great value for money! Some surprise extras I didn't even know were going to come with the order were in there as well. I realised soon why this was the case, and it was due to an error on my part - when I went for the "Meal 4 Two" option, I mistakenly didn't select my starters, as explained in the personally written letter to me. The fact that they tried to make up for it by giving me all of this other stuff is the sign of a really good restaurant with honourable people running it - definitely going for this one in the future from now on! Thank you!

Walking distance from the Oval is this lovely spot that serves authentic Indian food that is full of flavour. I recommend booking if its match day as it can get busy.We ordered a selection of starters the Achari Paneer Tikka is definitely recommended as well as the Samosa Chaat. My friends really enjoyed the non veg options and said the kebabs and the wings were very tasty too. Wide variety of drink options, I opted for the classic Indian soft drinks Thumbs Up and Limca, good service staff and definitely be back again.

Had a fantastic dinner tonight at Mumbai Delight. The staff were very sweet and hospitable and the food was ekdum mazedaar. Would highly recommend to friends and family for authentic Indian food in London!

Nice ambiance. Clean and awesome Indian taste of the food. We ate 2 times. Both time it was different experience. Like first time, it was very less crowded, and our orders served in a much faster way.Second time, it was full packed, order took long time, they are fulfilled delivery orders on priority. Also somewhere taste was compromised. We have complained about the taste, and they have changed full dish without questions asked.Staff is polite, friendly. In short, I would recommend this restaurant and would like to visit again

The service is very welcoming. The appetizer is delicious, but the price of bread is a bit expensive.

It has a really nice environment that’s elegant. It honestly fits their focus on the quality of the food, which you can learn more about in this mission stammer (plus for that) on freshness and quality of food.We got two dishes, and both were great. You can really taste the individual spices so well!The Lamb Angara, is a must have. The slow cooking really makes it. With a spice hotness rating of 2/3 I didn’t really find it spicy, though I am used to chilies, so...The Kolhapuri Murgi was a good amount of spice with a 3/3 rating for hotness - just enough to sweat a little. I really loved the coconut and ginger flavor!I’d definitely come back!
