Chinese Overseas in Newham

Purchased two meals from this restaurant. My partners noodles were good. My special fried rice was passable it was very dark with loads of either soya or brown food colouring. This I believed was to cover up the fact that there was barely any meat in the rice. I only ordered from here because Yans Kitchen was closed. I will not be buying from here again

Order rice to the "meals" =Dthe pictures shows 294a, the king prawns, that mostly consisted of dried chilly in oil. not possible to eat. the vegetable wook was only kale!never go there. again.we ordered by phone to take away.

This is an outstanding restaurant, though small but very clean environment and the meal is very tasty and reasonably priced with good and cautious staff.

My friends and I had a great time. The meal, service and cost were all good. Will visit again.

Actually a bit of a let down as I've been looking forward to try this place for a long time due to difficulties in parking. Their authentic Sichuan dishes were only average and the portions size were pretty small for the price. But I guess if you are going for the usual Cantonese dishes then the experience might be tad bit better.

This is a regional cuisine Chinese restaurant, as such I wouldn't bother ordering standard takeaway items. Be brave and try the Sichuan items, it's a whole new experience.The only thing they could improve on is the decor and ambience. Otherwise the food speaks for themselves.

Ordered a takeaway as a friend had said the place had a new chef. Most worryingly our food only took 20 minutes to deliver for 4 dishes so no way they were cooked fresh. So now to the food. Peking ribs were decent. The salt and pepper prawns were not salt and pepper prawns but some sort of coated prawn that tasted like popcorn, not nice at all and at 7.50 a complete waste of money and not at all what we ordered. Crispy chilli beef was watery and had spilled but was overly sweet and more batter than anything else. The chow mein was passable but nothing special. Would not order a takeaway from here again.

Very enjoyable dine-in experience. Food was hot, fresh and delicious and good portion sizes for the price. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in London. Cheap value and friendly service, have eaten too many times。👍👍👍
