Ocean Treasure in Oldham

Went for lunch on Saturday. We had booked a table beforehand, which was good as it was quite busy. The staff were very friendly and took our orders for drinks and food very quickly. The food was excellent! Cannot fault the food or service and will certainly be coming back.

Not been here for a few years as I moved out of the area, I was not disappointed.The waitress that looked after our party of 6 was attentive and courteous, she even took some group photos of us.We had met up for lunch and all ordered the 3 course business lunch.We were seated around a large circular table with a lazy susan in the middle which made serving the food much simpler.The food was excellent and also good value for money.Definitely worth travelling just out of Manchester for. I will certainly be back again soon.

The service was absolutely appalling. We had a reservation but the table was still late for 20 minutes. Finally after sitting down, we were left for around 30 minutes alone without ordering any drinks or food until we went over to one of the staff. After finishing starters, there was another 40 minutes wait for the main until I had to go over to the staff again asking what’s going on. One of staff was extremely rude and spoke Cantonese to me, even though I clearly explained in Mandarin that I didn’t understand any of that. She kept going on and on until I started to make a complaint in English, and then she realised her mistake. There are many other excellent Chinese restaurants much better than this in Manchester, and I don’t think people should pay to be annoyed in this place.

Went back to the ocean treasure this weekend.Waited over an hour for food.Food was dreadful.Frozen prawns awful dim sums my husband left them.Asked for paper wrap prawns got the wrong order frozen prawns inside.really poor quality.Fillet steak was chewy and poor quality lots of grissle in the steak.Sauce on it was like water.Complained on the way out they blamed covid.I explained poor quality food had nothing to do with covid or poor service.My husband had duck for main in a sauce.Duck was full of fat and he left his meal.Will not be back to the restaurant again.Been going in as regular customers since it opened.

Service was better today and staff bit more amenable. Food was ok. Bit bland for me but maybe just my taste. Cost not too bad but always put service charge in the bill bit cheeky and I bet staff don't get it.

A good local Chines restaurant specialized in sea food . The food and the service all good . If you like chines dishes is good place to go

Went for midday Dim Sum, large group 10+. Food and service was fantastic. Easily the best Dim Sum we've had, better than Glamorous in town for sure and well worth the small trek to Ocean Treasure. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Whenever we crave for dim sum, we would take almost 6 miles journey to come and visit here. We've visited twice ever since the easing of the lockdown and not a single time has it failed to impress us.The staff has always been friendly, had never got any of our orders wrong and the food has been delicious and they're authentic HK style dim sum.Highly recommended especially if you drive as there's free parking and you could do grocery shopping at their downstairs supermarket Chi Yip afterwards
