Mango Thai Tapas in Southampton

Had a fantastic meal here, the tempura veg was amazing 🤩. My wife and I will definitely go again when we are back in Southampton.

Staff incredibly friendly and we loved how they crouched down to be level with the table, instantly making us feel welcome. We asked for 1x Panang curry with very mild spice and 1x normal, as my partner doesn't really deal with spice and they accommodated this perfectly. Extremely recommend, thanks for such a lovely Valentines meal! The secret lover cocktail was fantastic, really enjoyed them. Bravo to the team, especially our waiter (whose name I didn't get unfortunately). Worth every penny and some.

Staff and service was great! Very cosy restaurant.Cocktails were a bit too sweet although still good. Food was too salty for my taste. Not sure whether it was just the dishes we've ordered, but the sauce for the squid was so salty we had to leave some uneaten and everything after just tasted salty.

Got a takeaway a days ago. The food is deffo overpriced for the quantity and quality. Tapas (fishcakes, squids and veggie wonton) were decent but we could get the same taste from costco frozen thai products. Pad thai was also OK, green curry was the only delicious dish. Red curry noting special. Overall, I spent around 70 quids for a meal that was nothing special at all. Service and the place were lovely, but maybe better for a night out with some drinks and tapas, but not to enjoy proper thai food.

Visited this lovely little find last night , from the moment we entered the staff could not be more welcoming to us.We sat upstairs in a lovely room at the front of the restaurant, the decor was very fitting.As soon as we sat down a lovely lady called Erin served us , nothing was too much trouble for her , she was very knowledgeable , she is a credit to this restaurant. We could not fault the food at all it was all so tasty . If I was ever near this area again I would love to come back .

The most amazing experience and our best Thai restaurant visit to date! The Mango team were so accommodating of our Hen Party providing a perfect party package with drinks on arrival and two courses. Fantastic service and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Came to mango with my partner on New Year’s Eve and had the best night. The atmosphere is great, all the staff are super friendly but Ben and Guss definitely stood out to us with their fun, friendly approach. Will definitely be back ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous food. The interior is beautiful. We were served by a lovely waitress who I didn't get the name of, but she was working the top floor between 8:45pm-10:30pm on Dec 4th, and she was extremely attentive and welcoming. The man at the front of house was also wonderfully welcoming. I highly recommend eating here.

Great cocktails, food and a friendly atmosphere. Some good deals on food and drink too, such as 2 for £12 cocktails and 4 for 3 tapas dishes at certain times. Also, I love the fact that you can buy reusable bamboo straws here for a pound.

Whilst visiting Southampton, a friend and I popped into Mangos after seeing the menu and looking for a quick bite to eat. The menu looked particularly appetizing and the well priced cocktails were attractive. We thought about checking out a near by Indian place but the weather was not great so we returned. The restaurant was empty except for a waitress or could have been the owner taking a call. Not a good sign for me if it's empty. The lady smiled and waved us in to take any seats we wanted as long as it has cutlery. We fancied one away from the open windows - without cutlery. As we checked the menu, the lady appeared and said something about I did tell you to sit at a table with cutlery, before moving some to us. Okay... do we bail? Well luckily we didnt. The cocktails were lovely. The Thai tapas were great, nice flavours and the sauces were just right. The deep fried vegetables were a bit tasteless and the fish cakes a bit rubbery but the rest of the meal was great. Overall pretty good. Nice food, nice cocktails. Service a bit odd at first.
