Curry HQ in Wokingham

Been a regular of Curry HQ for some years now, the food is simply amazing and better then before. A few months back they did have some staffing issues, I can assure the food is top notch and the service is superb

Ordered a couple of curries on Friday night in, had the lamb rogan josh and the meat was a lot less tender and a lot more chewy than usual. Several hours later I felt a temperature coming on as well as nausea, before long I realised I had developed an extremely bad case of food poisoning. After checking the takeaways hygiene rating it became apparent why, they scored 0 out of 5 from the government 'urgent improvement necessary'. Feeling like death and having my plans for the weekend ruined is not a price worth paying for what can only be described as a mediocre curry. People pay good money for your food and in return you provide them with a substandard meal and a bit of food poisoning on the side. In summary stay away from curry hq, ttt and find a curry house with at least a 1 out of 5 hygiene rating. Awful experience, won't be buying again.

A real shame as this used to be an excellent take away. Firstly, our order on Friday the 2nd took an hour and half to arrive. fair enough, it was Friday night. However when it did arrive there was no naan bread, the chapattis were eggy pancakes, both meals were the same and not what either of us had ordered, not to mention the sauce was congealed, cold and had half an inch of grease on top of it.I called to complain which took half an hour to get through, by which point it had gone 10pm. The guy on the phone was very apologetic, explained he only had one chef on when he normally has 4, and that he probably shouldn't have opened, and that he had had many complaints that night. He offered a full refund without even questioning it, and that he was more worried about his loss of reputation. Again, fair enough everyone has a bad night and i would have been prepared to put it down as a one off and gone back there. However no refund materialised, we have called 3 times since for the manager to call us back to discuss, but we've had no call. I'm sure we're not the only people that have had this experience from that Friday night so i hope it's worth it to them not refunding the £27 as promised, as they will lose out on god knows how may £100s in future orders. Like i said at the start, it's a real shame as they used to be so good.

Superb curry house. Best in Wokingham

Quite simply the best Indian takeaway in the whole of Berkshire. Full of flavour and a great menu, with very special dishes.
