Dosa World in Bournemouth

Was chuffed when I found out about this restaurant as had been craving dosa. Food was very delicious! Service was good as well. Will definitely be back on next trip to Bournemouth

Food was really good and the servers were friendly. However we did struggle with the layout of the menu which made it difficult to understand our options. Happy to try again and now that it all makes more sense.

South India and Sri Lanka share some food principles and flavours. It was a delight to find these in Bournemouth. Dosa World is a popular hangout for Indian students and Tech workers; evidence if it was needed of just how good this place is.Service on a quiet Tuesday was measured but timely. I had Medhu Vadda to start, a rice cake smothered in Sambar (a richly spiced, pepper hot soup). The main course was Masala Dosa, a crisp pancake of fermented lentil cooked on a super high heat - each one is a minor miracle (see picture). This came with a spicy potato filling and a variety of pickles, we also ordered a Prawn Chettinadu.Each dish had a distinct flavour. Savoury, peppery hot and yet with a range of flavour notes after the initial hit, this is food which makes you feel alive. Delicious.

Don’t go if you are hungry. They take you a order after 30-40min after you seated . Then food comes another 30-40 min later. Very very slow . We tried take out , delivery . All the time they move like a snail. Food is good when comparing other Indian restaurants in Bournemouth..

Taste is great, they have a really good Indian menu, must try their Masala Dosas

I had the pleasure of eating here Saturday with great company I might add, and the food was absolutely wonderful ! It was just the most flavoursome perfectly cooked meal I can not fault it! I am looking forward very much to coming back to you guys in April ! I love Indian style food but I have to say this was by far the best I have ever eaten ! Thank you !!!

One stop to perfect South Indian flavor . Their lollipop chicken starter is a must try dish and it tastes so authentic and delicious. Also the Malabar parotta is definite try from the Indian breads section. The chicken friend rice and chicken kothu parotta is truly good. Buffet is available as well. Nice and elegant ambience. Excellent Tamil Nadu style taste and flavor! Their fresh milk cake sweet is a must try!

Waiting waiting. Minimum 1 hour you have to wait for an order. The quality and taste of the food is good.

Absolutely gorgeous food...took us all the way to Malaysia and reminded me of my mother in laws food....Will be going again

Excellence. I found this place while I was searching for a good food place. It was showing open as most of other restaurants opens after 5pm. I given this one a try.I ordered Paneer Tikka (Cottage Cheese) and Veg Biryani.. both were touching the taste point.. that tangy taste from Paneer was heart touching. They even served Yogurt and Sambhar…I really enjoyed the food from first bite to last. The right kick of spices and freshly made to your order. Excellent cleanliness. Polite staff and helpful. I must recommend this place. I will definitely visit this place I visit Bournemouth again. I am from Leicester.They also do none-veg item. If you are pure vegetarian or vegan then I would find something else as probably same utensils may be used in the cooking area.
