Jojolapa Nepalese Bar & Kitchen in Birmingham

Lovely little restaurant. Did enjoy the ambience and decor. As it was my first trip was a little uncertain about the food but, it sure was delicious. The only thing I would say is that the portions were small for the money charged.

A great selection of vegan food! I've visited several times over the last three years and enjoyed each time. A little outside the usual city centre radius but worth the walk.

We went here just yesterday for my husband's birthday and the owner and waitress were so attentive to all of our needs (16 of us may I add), including all my young nieces. The food was very flavoursome not over-spiced or bland like other restaurants, who think flavour doesn't matter. Everyone had a great time and the head waiter even sang happy birthday and brought the cake over for my husband. 5/5 highly recommend!

Decent service, food is good quality. Only issue is on valentines they offer a set menu which can be limiting, plus I needed dairy free and gluten free options. They had a vegan dessert available but brought me out a dairy one, I had to checkb if it was the vegan one, which it wasn't, to which I was told they don't have a vegan option. They did deduct it from the bill as they couldn't provide me with an alternative so I appreciated that but then we were billed for another tables bill... again was sorted out but only because I noticed. So service does have some room for improvement. Really like the decor and ambience of the place. They did aim to be as accommodating for me and did offer us drinks on the house too 🙏🏼🥂

I was really looking forward to going to this place, but it proved to be an expensive disappointment. To begin with it was really cold. We were by a radiator, but were informed that it didn't work, but that they had these (largely ineffectual) 'heaters' high up on the wall. The main dishes were £12 each and the portions were insultingly tiny! The spinach pakora was pretty good value, but the main (I'm Vegan, so chose the Tagra Takari, which, besides being tiny, boasted hardly any vegetables) spoiled any sense of value. Also, thanks to two families from what looked like a similar part of the world as the restaurant was supposed to hail from, with three young lads running amok, the parents taking little notice, the meal was constantly interrupted by said brats running past, and into and out the toilets. The poor head waiter tried in vain to stop them rampaging round the place, the idiot parents only calling them to task as they were about to leave!. It ruined the setting (which, apart from being cold, was rather nice, and a little different) and any ambition for a peaceful, romantic meal; given that it was the eve of Valentines day, were all but ruined. My review sounds a bit snobby; I assure you, I'm not. I travelled down from Bootle for a date, including a nice, enjoyable meal, but this place failed to deliver, I'm sorry to say. I must point out that the waitresses and waiter were attentive and warm though.

Been here a few times and loved the food every time! Tasty and not too spicy. Great variety for vegetarian meals (pictured is the vegetarian platter). Veg kofta curry is a great main would recommend. Only thing I’d say is maybe more staff when it’s busy as it’s hard to get the waitress’ attention. Would definitely visit again and again, happy to support a local business

Great location. Ambience and music is brilliant. Was warm inside. Staff very friendly and kind. Food was great, lots of veggie options, momos were brilliant and chilli paneer. The only reason for a four star is, first restaurant ever been to with no dessert menu and payment was cash or bank transfer only. Will however definitely be going back

Super friendly service from Anya, we sat just inside and the front was open so we had a nice view. Not too much choice of beer, but the Stella was good. The food we tried was amazing, shared Himalayan lamb kebabs, which were delicious. I had the Naga Shatkora chicken which was perfect and just the right amount of chilli heat. Lovely surrounding inside and friendly staff make it special..

Really nice choice of dishes. Portion size generous and had great flavours and the Raaj lager and IPA were really nice.

Very cosy place in the heart of Jewellery Quarter, great atmosphere with even greater food, staff and owner are very nice and kind. It is slightly on pricier side, but no regrets on the food, especially when its one of a kind Nepalese kitchen around. Definitely would recommend to anyone to try at least once. Menu has a lot of variety, so anyone should find something to like.
