Purnima in Sandwell

Had a lovely Saturday evening in Purnima. We hadn’t booked and just turned up on spec, even though it was really busy they still accommodated us. The food & service was absolutely superb. We had a few dishes and notably the lamb Achari & chicken sagwalla we’re both delicious. The staff are all lovely. Highly recommend and it’s definitely going to be our go to Bearwood restaurant.

Chicken in my balti was not marinated. My partners vegetable jalfrezi had very little/no sauce. Service at the start was very slow and unfriendly. Overall, wouldn’t recommend or go back

Honestly very disappointed. Still waiting for the chicken to turn up for our “chicken”biriyanis.I’m guessing with the rise of chicken prices on the market you guys are cutting down on the chicken. This should of been sold as plain biriyani, or vegetarian as there was literally 2 pieces of chicken in that huge tub of rice.The vegetable sauce that accompanies the rice was also terrible. Watery substance with some frozen vegetables thrown in that really don’t belong in a curry. Such a disappointment. I think some food establishments underestimate the palette of their clientele. We understand world cuisine and want to experience it. An Asda ready meal curry would have been better.We will never recommend you guys or come back.

Food was of high standards.. a tiny bit more expensive than others on bearwood road.. but worth the little extra.. especially for dining in.. the lady at front of house is cheerful and helpful.. Will go back again 👍

Finally tried Purnima after 5 years of living a one minute walk away, and was blown away. The food was incredible but the real star of the show were the staff, we were warmly welcomed and the waiting staff were friendly but not overbearing which is the perfect combination. The service was quick and the food so fresh and tasty. Will be back to this little gem soon x

Amazing food, amazing service. Clean, gorgeous decor, lovely ambience. Celebrated our anniversary here and we're really happy with the food and experience. The owner was really pleasant and welcoming. 💜💜💜

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to in ages. Very nice decor and the staff are so friendly and nice and the food is amazing 👌🏻

We were here for dinner along with around 35 colleagues. Awesome hospitality. Good food along with choicest of liquor available. Staff extremely quick. Food quality was very good. Very well maintained. Deserts were also good.
