I definitely recommend trying ganges take away, the food was absolutely lovely from starters and main dishes. Recommend onion barges, shish kebab, chicken Tikka & the chef cooked a special biryani which was superb. The naan breads were excellent. Everything came fresh & piping hot.Must try, we will definitely be going back. The service was so welcoming.. It's a real delight to actually have a take away with good service & excellent food. Thank you.

The order arrived early, before our estimated arrival time. The food was delivered hot and was very nice. Lovely food, would definitely recommend

Not originally from Shrewsbury was just passing through, was recommended this place by the locals for it being very good. I’m glad I stopped by because from the moment I walked in I was greeted by lovely staff, who made me feel welcomed and noted my order down, I ordered for my wife and kids plus me, the kind gentleman shared the most popular dishes and which he would personally recommend. The aroma of the food was so beautiful and it was still hot when taken to the hotel. The food was outstanding and have not one bad thing to complain about the service was outstanding and the gentleman who served me really gave some amazing options as I really enjoyed the food as did my wife and kids. Keep up the great work guys and I shall see you anytime I’m in Shrewsbury, very good hospitality and amazing food. Thank you so much. ⭐️

I hadn't ordered for years, it was always great. But a recent order was barely edible, the chicken tikka masala had hardly any chicken in and the sauce wasn't right. The sides were better, but not by much.

Very lovely curry. Enjoyed most of it. Tikka Masala was so delicious. My other half have enjoyed the jalfraze. Will be back soon.

Had good meals in the past but today’s was a little disappointing. Delivery came within specified timescale and was delivered by a very pleasant lady. One starter was ok but the other, samosas, were just crispy with little filling. Two of the three main courses were very greasy and the other was ok after mixing but the diners said they were very tasty. Naan’s quite nice. Not bad but not outstanding.

I've been going to the Ganges for the best part of 10 years the food is always exceptional, I don't think I've ever had a dud one. Yes the pick up times have been erratic in the past I've had to wait almost 2hrs for a curry once. Picked up a curry from there last friday night peak period the food was ready & waiting in half hour. Taste & quality was top drawer, they are also one of the few places locally that do a bejun (aubergine) curry.

We tried Gangees as we where new to the area and didn't know what place was good. Trip advisor has good rating and they have an app to deliver so thought it'd be a good experience! How wrong we where.First Attempt: We ordered a cheese naan, Tikka Masala, Pilau Rice and a portion of chips. The meal was 10 minutes late but we weren't to bothered. When we got the order inside they had forgotten the cheese naan so I rang them up and they sent another chap out to deliver it. By the time the other chap dropped it off we had to Microwave the food as it went cold! 20 minutes we waited for a cheese naan. The food was very oily and not great but figured they where having an off day as trip advisor reviews where good. We gave them a second chance and shouldn't have!Second attempt: We ordered the same food through the app which said 50 minute wait time at 6 o'clock. 7 o'clock came and my partner had a phone call, the lady said it was ready to be collected... But we'd ordered delivery. Without my partner being able to say anything the lady apologised realising what she'd done and then hung up. 7.20 came along, still no food. I called to find out what was going on and they said 10 minutes. 7.45 it was delivered. The food was cold and everything had to be re-heated, food was very oily again and not much flavour.. We had a naan this time but a different kind to the cheese we'd ordered it was plain instead. Basically the whole experience was rubbish.Won't use them again will be asking others who they use! It's a treat for us to have a takeaway as we tend to just have one a month and this ruined that.Waste of time!
