Aagrah in Selby

As soon as you walk in to the restaurant there is an unpleasant, strong, musty damp smell.I had seekh kebabs which were overcooked and tough. I had a keema jalfrezi for my main course. It was very dry in texture. The accompanying chapittis were hot and tasted good.Service was polite and attentive.Overall a very disappointing meal made worse by the overpowering smell of damp.

The food and service and enviroment was great.but you really need to make the exterior of your building more attractive.

My god the food was fantastic. Family naan like an elephants ear!

The food was good and staff were very friendly.Menu is comprehensive and easy to read with plenty of regional dishes you wont often see on a menu.It is quite an expensive menu so don't expect a cheap night out.

Called in with a group of 20 people from a day out in york,hubby got a chicken masala,thought it smelt funny but ate some of it anyway,following earlie hours voilently sick and the runs,also 1 of the other visitors pulled part of a plastic wrapper from his rice,another lady asked for a very mild bhuna and they made it that spicy she chocked and struggled to breath an ambulance had to be called and took her away to be seen to,my hubby is still struggling to keep anything down and suffering with bad stomache cramps

Always a good experience here love the atmosphere. And the food

I attended on a Buffet Night, but the Staff made no issue at with me ordering from the main menu. Where I live all the Indian Restaurants are Bangladeshi. It was a real treat to try food inspired by a different part of the Sub Continent.

Fantastic food and lovely staff, worth going the extra mile (or 4) to get the Takeaway. Slightly on the expensive side but you get what you pay for

Ordered from the Agrah this evening and was not very impressed.Chicken tika masala is far from a masala and the tub is full of oil & what looks like water.Chicken has not been cooked on skewers I'd say cooked in a frying pan nor has it been marinated.Pashwari nan bread absolutely dripping with oil and pineapples and raises just thrown on top. Not something I expected and this needs to be added to the advertisement.I wouldn't recommend this place at all but was worth a try.

My vegetable makhani was curdled and full of oil. This dish only has a 1 chilli rating, but it was much more spicy than other dishes at the table which had 2 chilli ratings! The naan breads were not the best, dripping with oil. I have been to many Aagrah’s in my time and this was by far the worst experience I have had. It was unfortunately not worth the money. On the other hand, the staff were lovely.
