The Rythre Arms in Selby

Loved the dinner my partner and I had here. The food was very good quality. I had fillet steak which was very good - so good I forgot to take a photo for this review. The steak wasn't large but I understand this is normal for the cut I had, but it was bursting with flavour and I have no regrets on my choice.My partner had beef wellington which she tells me is by far the best one she has ever had.The staff were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely be coming back.

Starter and steak ok. Pudding disappointing. Pimms Eton Mess, poor presentation in breakfast bowl, too much cream, little fruit and meringue, no hint of Pimms. Also chips not as good as roast potatoes of the past management. Service fine and attentive.

Loved it. Every mouthful was just delicious. Came for my birthday yesterday early evening. It was up there with the best steak I’ve ever had. We only live a couple of villages away but for some reason have never eaten here before but we’ll definitely be back. Food, wine, service absolutely perfect.

Went today for 3pm booking, and definatley be going again. Been here a few times but always on a evening. Seemed a bit busier than normal but that didn't affect the service we received. Staff were polite and helpful. We ordered 12 oz sirloin and 36oz t-bone, and both were cooked as ordered and tasted delicious. Well worth the price and drive out.

Came for a early valentines meal, one of the first ones in. We was welcomed in and shown to our table, was then presented with fresh bread which was still warm. Ordered drinks which I ordered off the cocktail menu for valentines and what seemed to be the manager was talking to us about making them. Really friendly, had a laugh and made sure we was well looked after! Food was absolutely unreal, by far one of the best steaks I’ve had! You got plenty of food and the manager was more than happy to tell you if you ordered too much which I thought was a nice touch as he didn’t want you paying for something you didn’t eat which was fair enough. All the staff was lovely, very cosey feel. Will definitely be going back, worth the hours drive!

Had a lovely meal here with friends 😋 cannot recommend enough beautiful food very well presented and that much we couldn't face a pudding. Lovely setting very friendly staff even got a free round of drinks as they thought we had waited long enough for our meal. Will definitely be returning ❤️

Outstanding food and service, the portions are massive and extremely filling, it's truly value for money. The location and setting it stunning.

Worth the trip out of York… amazing food, good size portions (my fellow Americans won’t be disappointed) and great service 👌 we had issues getting a taxi back to our hotel in York and they were very much invested in our save return, calling the hotel and other taxis on our behalf… even offering to give us a ride as a last resort 😬

All I can say is PERFECTION. Food, staff and atmosphere could not fault it at all. The bar manager was amazing, friendly and so pleasant. The staff went the extra mile to make our visit enjoyable.Will definitely be returning

Rightfully renowned for their steaks, this place also do a loveLy baked feta for veggies, of whom I am one. Friendly attentive service and excellent value for money made this a highlight of our week in Yorkshire.
