This was our second time within a month at Old Siam as we really enjoy the food, service & setting. Last time we visited we got the early bird special which was approx £10 per couple cheaper than the evening menu. This time we ordered the same meal & drinks on the early bird however the price was the same as the evening menu. The food was the usual good quality however it shouldn’t be advertised as a special if not at reduced price. The early bird menu selection is also reduced so you may as well pick from the main menu if paying the same price. This was not clarified by the waiter when ordering. Will think twice about returning again.

Not vegetarian or vegan friendly. The vegetarian spring rolls are cooked in beef fat and the vegetable curries have fish paste in them. This left very little choice and we had to leave.

The team kindly managed to seat 6 of us on a busy Saturday evening. Exemplary service and even better food. 4 of us had the early bird set meals with a starter main and drink for £14 and they were really big portions. The Thai curries and Pad Thai mains were delicious, and the the starters were amazing! Would 100% come again.

Green Curry with chicken was delicious. Also steamed fish was fluffy and tasty. I'm not an expert in Thai food but definitely will be coming back to this place.

Food was so flavoursome! Thoroughly enjoyed this meal with such delicious dishes. We popped in here spontaneously and were fortunate enough to be able to get a seat. So glad we did as the food was so fresh tasting! Will definitely revisit when next in York.

Food was nice enough and the service is friendly, however, if you're looking for an authentic Thai restaurant this isn't really the place. They have Japanese umbrellas on the wall and nothing about the decor is reminiscent of Thailand. Some Thai music playing in the background would be nice

Cosy Thai restaurant with authentic Thai decoration and background music. We had the sharing starter and it was all very delicious, followed by a main dish each. We shared four main dishes and all were amazing and reminded us of our Thai holiday from years ago. Would definitely recommend
